The public transport and mobility company Kolumbus, owned by Rogaland County Municipality, has chosen Intility for its entire IT environment.
Kolumbus is responsible for buses, express boats, ferries, and city bikes for more than 200,000 daily travelers across Rogaland. As a public transport and mobility provider, Kolumbus makes it easy and sustainable to move around the entire region by ensuring seamless integration between trains, cycling, walking, and public transport.
Digital solutions – ranging from ticketing systems to information services and real-time systems – are therefore an integral part of its core operations and societal mission. For a technology-intensive and data-driven organization in continuous development, the purpose of the procurement was to establish a stable, secure, and future-oriented IT platform that reduces complexity and supports further digitalization of mobility and travel experiences.
In a time of exponential technological development and a constantly evolving digital threat landscape, increasing demands are placed on continuous updates and further development of the IT environment. With Intility, Kolumbus gains a digital foundation delivered as a service – where people, technology, and software are organized as a unified whole for operations, security, and development.
Intility is the digital foundation for more than 700 companies across over 3,000 locations in the Nordics and the rest of the world. Among these are several transport and mobility organizations, such as Flytoget, Connecting Stockholm, Ruter, Connect Bus, and Go-Ahead Nordic.
